Around 100 runners joined us for our 10k and 5k fun run around Pelsall. As a result of all of the entries we’ve been able to raise £500 for St Gile’s Hospice, and £200 for the local Air Cadets. On the day we had help from the Air Cadets and an enormous number of volunteers from Mid-Counties Co-Operative – without their help we would not have been able to stage the event.

Our Second Pelsall Event

This was the second time we’d run this event, following the inaugural run back in 2014. Hopefully it will become an annual event.

On the day, the men’s race was won by Luke Bottimer (36:16) with the ladies’ race won by Leonie Balter (37:00). Our partner organisation who handle the run and entries are CAMBA, and a full list of results is available on their website.

Fantastic Volunteers

We had 30 helpers from Mid-Counties co-operative who marshaled large parts of the route for us. The local air cadets were also on hand to help with water stations and other duties.

We’d also like to thank our first aid helpers too. All of these people gave up their time to help our members and helpers put on the event.

A further thank you goes to the Lily Pot, who donated the fantastic bouquets for our winners. They were magnificent.
